Adam Glentworth appointed as the youngest Children Panel Solicitor in England and Wales

Here at Pepperell’s Solicitors we have solicitors across our offices who are accredited members of the Law Society Children Panel. Children Law Accreditation is a recognised quality standard for lawyers representing children in Children Law proceedings and members in receipt of the prestigious accreditation are seen as specialists in the field of Children Law.

On 1st November 2023, Adam Glentworth was the latest solicitor at the firm to receive the accreditation following the completion of a Law Society approved training course, lengthy application and a rigorous interview and selection process.

Adam started his journey with Pepperell’s in 2017 and was assigned to the Family Department in 2018. Whilst completing his academic training, Adam maintained employment at Pepperell’s on a Part Time basis before joining full time in 2020.

Adam progressed through our in-house training programme under the supervision of Rosemary Houghton and David Kemshall who are experienced children panel solicitors and directors at the firm.

Adam qualified as a Solicitor on 2nd December 2022 and was appointed as an accredited member of the Law Society Children Panel on 1st November 2023, two days after his 26th birthday. As at 2nd January 2024, the Law Society of England and Wales confirmed that Adam was the youngest Children Panel Solicitor in England and Wales out of a pool of 1593 Children Panel solicitors.

Since his appointment, Adam regularly accepts instructions on behalf of CAFCASS to represent children in Care Proceedings. Alongside instructions from CAFCASS, Adam maintains a busy caseload representing parents in Care Proceedings, regularly dealing with issues such as neglect, non-accidental / inflicted injuries, sexual abuse, missing / abandoned children, substance misuse and cross-border issues. Adam also has experience representing clients through the Office of the Official Solicitor when it is deemed they lack capacity.
